Galaxy S10 User Manual

Samsung Galaxy S10 Overview

Galaxy S10 User Manual – Smartphones are finally becoming weird again, and Samsung is right in the middle of all the commotion. Earlier this year, he showed his first phone with a folding screen. Now the Galaxy S10 series is coming to the shelves, and it’s strange in its own way, with a new piercing camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader on the screen.

The phone market is slowly launching a new luxury category, and the new Samsung Galaxy S10 phones Stagger to the limit, with prices starting at $750 for the basics and ending at $1.600 for a 1 terabyte specification. None of the Galaxy S10 models have the astronomical price of their folding counterparts ($1.980!), But they are not cheap either. Unless you move Out of a phone that is at least a couple of years old, think carefully about the update.

The first thing you’Ll notice is the screens. All have a vivid and HDR-certified AMOLED display that contains an exorbitant amount of pixels inside and is incredibly close to touching all the edges of the phone, from top to bottom, from left to right.

In fact, there is so much screen that Samsung had little room for anything else. You could have made a notch at the top for cameras and sensors, like the iPhone, but how funny is that? So, instead, Samsung made a hole in the top right corner of the screen. The company calls it the Infinity-O screen.

Galaxy S10 User Manual – The Strange blow of an autophoto camera has not disturbed or distracted me. It Is Charming in a cold and technological way. If You hate it, you can try using a background with a darker top or put the entire notification bar in black to cover it.

The Three models are waterproof IP68 and have the look of metal and glass sandwich that Samsung and Apple have popularized in recent years. Although Fragile (please buy a case), the glass panel on the back allows for wireless charging and a new secret ability: share energy.

The S10 can charge other devices wirelessly. It’S a slow load, but I Was able to register my wife’s iPhone and Samsung now sells a pair of wireless Galaxy Buds that can be loaded wirelessly. None of the S10 has so much battery life that it will want to give it away freely, but it is a new and fun option, especially useful if you want to charge something wirelessly while your S10 is plugged in and topped up.

Samsung claims that each Galaxy S10 gets approximately 24 hours of mixed use. For me, that resulted in about 40 percent load at bedtime, or a fairly healthy and typical run time of day and a half. One Day, I had almost five hours of phone calls (don’t ask) and I still went to bed with a modest charge. It Took some concordances from PUBG and Fortnite with a high graphics setup to really make a dent in the battery.

The Galaxy S10 Line also features 10 megapixel Autophotos cameras and at least two specially excellent rear cameras (more about this later). Specific geeks will also like you to get 6 to 8GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, one MicroSD slot and the latest and best Snapdragon 855 chipset from Qualcomm on each model.

Galaxy S10 User Manual – Like the OnePlus 6T, the Galaxy S10 and the S10 Plus have fingerprint sensors on the screen. You Can Unlock the smartphone by touching your thumb directly on the screen. Under the hood, it works a little differently than the OnePlus offer, which has an optical sensor. Samsung uses an “ultrasonic” sensor that scans its 3D fingerprint, making it more difficult to deceive.

There Is a learning curve, and you should be sure to follow the instructions precisely when you initially scan your thumbs during Setup. Once you become familiar with it, it is as reliable as a normal capacitive fingerprint sensor: Both technologies tend to get dirty regularly. That’s an achievement for Samsung, because it’s much more convenient to press your thumb on the screen than to look for a fingerprint sensor on the back of a phone. (The S10 ultrasonic sensor also seems to run after a shower!)

The smaller Galaxy, the S10E, has no ultrasonic capabilities. It Has a traditional fingerprint sensor on its top right side. I like the location, and it felt natural in a demo model I held. It May not be as sexy as an on-screen sensor, but having the power button and fingerprint sensor sharing the same space is very convenient.

Galaxy S10 User Manual – Each S10 comes loaded with Android 9 (Foot) and Samsung’s new user interface, which looks a lot like previous Samsung interfaces, although it is much easier to navigate. The Company finally took their time and discovered some valuable ways to make life with a big phone easier. For example, many of the application’s interfaces keep all buttons accessible from the bottom half of the screen. You Can move them up, but always lower them enough to touch any button.

Surprisingly, the power button is placed incredibly high on the right side of each Galaxy S10. It’S a pretty easy stretch in the S10E but more than a challenge in the S10 Plus.

You May notice a second key that looks like a power button just below the volume lever. That’s the Bixby button. I Don’t like that button. The Bixby Voice assistant from Samsung tells me nothing I really want to hear, however, I’m constantly trying because I can’t stop pressing the button accidentally.

Annoying, Samsung allows you to re-assign the button. You cannot turn it on a power button or turn it off, but you can assign one or two beats to another application. The best compromise I’ve ever encountered is an option that forces Bixby to shut up unless you press the button twice. I have been told that the Bixby Assistant will learn my habits one day and become a useful part of my daily routine. So far, it’s a thorn in the side of the S10.

Galaxy S10 User Manual – Bixby also appears in the excellent application of the camera as Bixby Vision. You Are supposed to tell what objects your phone points to and offer helpful suggestions. But Generally, Bixby doesn’t know what I’m seeing, and the suggestions involve selling products I don’t want. Aim for a flat and try to sell you tiles. Point it to a door and I could tell you how to buy a doorknob. Point it to a computer kiosk and try to sell… The keys to the piano. Try to turn your camera into a buy button, but it lacks the intelligence to do it right.

Galaxy S phones are known for their high-quality optics, and the S10 is no exception. Each Galaxy S10 has a very nice 12 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and a 16 megapixel wide-angle camera with a 123 degree field of view. The Two larger models also have an additional 12 megapixel telephoto lens that allows a 2X zoom.

As with the LG V40 similar phone, you can swap between these lenses at the touch of a button. Samsung will save you the effort, too. It Can move inward and outward more like a traditional camera, and it Will automatically change the lenses when appropriate. The interface is easy to understand and comes loaded with settings and extras, including a Pro mode and enhanced scenarios. There is Even a configuration that allows Samsung’s algorithms to suggest a better angle.

Galaxy S10 User Manual – The thing is, you won’t need the truck loaded with extra ways to take a big picture. The S10 captures better shots than almost any phone. It Is in the same league as the iPhone XS and Google Pixel 3 and easily surpassed the OnePlus 6T.

Night shots may not match the new Pixel 3 night View mode, but are compared (or better) than most other things. The Lens did a great job of attracting more light and color than I expected on a particularly intense night walk through the park. The automatic effects of the scene disappointed me in some shots. For some reason, Samsung’s algorithms decided that every lamppost should shine like a star. At first it was lovely, then it wasn’t. I Had to turn off the camera’s scene optimizer to stop the flashes.

Like LG, Samsung likes to improve the reality a bit too much. It baffled Me why I had to go to the setup to get my selfies to keep normally. By default, Samsung saves your selfies reflected, which means you can think you look great on them, but everyone else will think you look strange.

On the other hand, I had fun with the Live Focus mode, which worked particularly well for selfies. Essentially, find your face and let you blur the background in different ways. The best effect turned the background black and white, but I had fun playing with the four options. It Also works in the back chamber.

I Never knew how much I missed my 3.5 mm headphone jack until I switched to the Galaxy S10 Plus. Samsung includes a pair of AKG wired headphones for each S10 model, and are a delight. I Can’t remember a better headset set that comes with a phone. (Audiophiles angry, we will meet you in the comments section). For free-packaged hearing aids, they are attentive

The Whole audio experience is a pleasure. The Galaxy S10 supports high-resolution audio and has Dolby Atmos and a useful built-in equalizer.
